Here are some pictures from Christmas. We took some videos too so I will post them after this. He was crazy on Christmas and is still trying to catch up on sleep. He sleeps at night but is still sleepy in the morning and school says all the other kids get up from naptime and he is stil sleeping.

We are getting ready for Toronto. Kyan got snowpants and boots. So I think we just need to pack, I am gonna try to do that on Saturday

I also messed up our flight stuff, I am gonna blame that on preggo brain, but we are leaving here on 1/2 12:10am getting in at 10:30ish Toronto, then coming home 8:30ish on Sunday morning. I am not sure if I just got the cheapest(HAHA) flight I could find or if I just screwed up.


Christmas 12/25/07

Kyan is feeling much better now

It seems the streak is over, FINALLY. During the streak, I have gotten thrown up on at least 7 or 8 days. He has finally had 2 good days in a row, he did not cough at all last night so that is great news. The night before it started at about 4:30 but wasn't too bad.

Last night I made cupcakes to take to school today for his birthday. he was all upset when i put them in the car this am, I told him at school he will get to eat them. I also saved 3 for us at home.

Kyan has pinkeye :-(

I picked Kyan up last night from school, and they said they think he may have pinkeye. When I looked at it, it just looked a little red like if he rubbed it. Well by the time I got home, he had 2 big yellow globs in the corners. So we put medicene in them last night and this am. This morning, when I went to change him, he couldn't even open his eyes, they were sealed shut. His eyes were puffy. And crusty.

Normally, we wouldn't have sent him to school, but we have our big dr appt today and no kids are allowed, so we sent him to school with med and hopefully no one else gets it.

Santa

Sorry it has been a long time in writing, I think the writer's strike had something to do with it

yesterday we went to moorpark and got a christmas tree and saw santa. We also went on a tractor ride with him. Kyan kept telling him, "tractor ride tractor ride"

we are hopefully decorating the tree tonight, I think we are just putting lights and tinsel. the type of tree we got is a grand fir, which is very cool looking but no where to really put ornaments, it will be pretty

Santa 12/3/07

Cot or not to Cot, that is the question

Ok so we are trying to figure out how to get Kyan to nap on the weekends. Well grammy bought him a cot like he has at school. he loves it. he loves to jump on it, he loves to jump off it, Daisy loves to lay on it, Kyan loves to tuck Elmo in on it, oh but we were talking about sleeping, right....Yeah, not gonna happen. I ended up talking him for a walk on Saturday and all but gave up that he was gonna fall alseep, well about 4 houses away, he fell asleep, I transferred him to the cot and he slept about a hour and a half.

Well yesterday we tried the same thing, still not gonna happen. Finally we went for a walk and he fell asleep at 4:40pm, we got home, out him on the cot, and he slept for about 3.5 hours. the only real reason he woke up was i was kinda trying to get him up since it was now almost 8pm and he would have to go to bed soon, he he.

Time change...

We are not quite used to this time change thing yet. I thought we would be ok cause on Sunday, Kyan woke up at 6am. I thought, ok, that is not too bad. Well, Monday, he wakes up at 5:11am,AHHHH. He starts by saying Mommmma Mommmmma, then reBECKaah, REBECKA. I am like, ok buddy I will be there in a minute. I turned to Brian and said do you hear him, of course he didn't cause he was dead asleep. ARGHHH. Today I think he woke up around 6 so that was better. Hopefully each day it will get better and better.

I think Kyan has a girl friend at school. he asks all the time where is Tinaya. This morning, Brian got up with Kyan, THANK YOU BRIAN, and Brian said he was asking where Tinaya was at 6am this morning. Very cute.

More Halloween

Kyan had fun at Alice's house. He helped her open the door when the trick or treaters would come, they would go to the door together and then he would run back to us.

He saw Kushla, who is their big Irish Wolfhound and said "big Dog"

He liked to play with Valentine too. He liked asking where Shawn and Ian went, whenever they left the room

He wa crazy, he ran circles through the dinner room to the family room, needless to say, he slept til 7am this morning

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween!!!!

Kyan was not to fond of putting on the Eeyore costume, it eventually went on. Hopefully with the other little kids in his class, he will want to keep it on. There was a Dalmatian, Buzz Lightyear, a Pumpkin, not sure what Chance was, Miss Anna nor Miss Sonjia knew either, maybe a cow or a pig, it was a pink outfit.

Anyways, it was cute seeing them all walk around or sitting around in their costumes.

We are going to Alice's house tonight and next door, probably the only 2 places we will take him. The church on the corner is having a "Trunk or Treat" which is in the parking lot and you go car to car, trick or treating, but it is out of the back of the car, hence, trunk or treat.

Also, the purple necklace around Kyan's neck is of playdo. He finally will squish it. The first night we played with it, I made little balls and he cried any time one got dented or smushed. Finally after a few tries, he likes to play with it

Pumpkin Festival 10/22/07

San Diego Fun

We had fun in San Diego. We checked in early and then got something to eat across the street. Came back and rested/played for a little bit, then went to find out where the "Life is Good" Pumpkin Festival was. It was actually pretty close to where we were, maybe 20 minutes away. It started at 3pm, it was pretty empty when we got there. But when we left, it was packed. Kyan finger painted on paper that had a pumpkin on it, we went through hay mazes and he checked out the huge wall of pumpkins. He also got to go in an ambulance and go inside a fire truck. He was very excited about that. He even got a little fireman hat from the firefighter. The park it was at was very nice, they had some really nice playgrounds there, so we played there for a while. You could tell it was very much a community event, lots of families and fun.

Then we drove to downtown and walked around the seaport. You could tell Kyan that we did that, cause he didn't know about that, he he.

Sunday we went to a Marine Museum we passed on Saturday, it was a walk outside type of place, all around helicopters and airplanes. It was pretty cool. Then we went to Sea World.

Kyan liked Sea World. We saw the Shamu show, the dolphin show and the sea lions show. You know how they have the little otter that comes out, every time he went away, kyan would say where is the otter, and kept repeating it. It was very funny.

We also went to see the big walrus. It was cool, there was an underground part then a part that was 1/2 under and 1/2 above. Kyan would lay on the wood and watch the walrus go back and forth and when he went all the way to the right, where you couldn't see him, he would say walrus, walrus, where is the walrus, then he would say, there he is, i see him. It was quite cute.

Kyan pretty much slept the whole way home, until we got close.

Pumpkin Festival

We had a great time, and to prove it, Kyan, of course, fell asleep 10 minutes before we got there, and woke up when Brian got him out of his car seat. So we got there at 1:30, and probably left just about at 6pm, Kyan fell asleep at 6:08 and woke up the next morning about 6:30, yup he was exhausted but he had fun. I don't really need at write anything because the videos will show you what we did.

I know this is supposed to be Kyan's blog but Brian and his team had a big day yesterday. I am not sure what they ended up winning by but it was at least 7-1. He had 2 goals and 2 assists. Here are some videos of the game


My Slideshow 10/15/07

New things

Kyan went to his first birthday party last night. It was for Trevor, Dawn's son who turned 6, well actually today he turns 6. It was fun, I was kind of disappointed that Kyan didn't want to go on the big slide and climb in the net course. The party was at an indoor playground. Big inflatable slide, bouncy house, scooters, air hockey, net course, ping pong, zip line, and little kids area with trucks....need I say more, guess where he hung out 1/2 the time. We did play air hockey, he liked that, he would stop the puck with his hand and then hit it again with the paddle. It was funny, he would go in the bouncy house, then get out and run as fast as he could to go get the firetruck he liked and back to the kiddie area.

He has also learned my name. Brian was giving him a shower and called me when to get Kyan, so I go in there and Kyan is saying re BECK ah, and kept repeating it, it was quite funny. I took video of him saying when he was in the high chair. We walked to Starbucks on Saturday and it was kinda chilly, so Brian and Kyan were sitting at a table in the sun. I ordered and I can see Brian saying something to him, so all the sudden, re BECK ah, re BECK ah, it was again, quite funny.

We have a big weekend or a few weekends planned. This Friday, after work, we are gonna go to Disneyland to see the Halloween decorations. Saturday, watch Rutgers, hopefully WIN, then go to the place where we went tomato picking, they have pumpkins and a Tractor weekend, I guess they have some sort of parade or display of all old tractors and good food.

next weekend, Kyan and I are going to a pumpkin festival in San Diego, and staying the night, then Sunday, we are going to SeaWorld. I couldn't decide Sea World or th Wild Animal Park, but I thought SeaWorld woudl eb a good choice, see lots of things up close

Halloweeeeeeen....

So we whipped out the bag of halloween costumes and have a few options. Let us know what you think, of course they are all cute, but I am thinking personally, Bullseye can be used for next year cause it is a little big.

Halloween

Also, we have a spanish speaking lil boy. So daycare tells us that they ask him, "Dondé esta mamma? and his response, "Casa." For those that need a translation, Where is mommy? Home--his response. But the good news is, apparently both Dadda and Momma are at home, when they ask where is Dadda, he says Casa, so at least we both must sit home and do nothing all day, hmmmmm

Here are some random pix of Kyan from this weekend. First couple is how exhausted he is and we now put him on the floor so we don't have to worry about him rolling off.



This picture is, yes, him eating Trix cereal. he found a really cool place to hide them if he wants to save it for later. Funny thing is, he kept it there for the longest time and was kinda trying to look at it and getting crossed eyed. It was kinda funny.



Brian's team lost 2-1 to the 2nd place team. They should have tied if not won the game.

Saying hello...

I was talking to Nicole online yesterday and told her I would try to get Kyan to say stuff while I was taping him so here is the best that cam eout of it. Some is good, some, ahhh, not so good

Lil guy is liking his new sleeping routine right now. Last night he was extra tired and went to bed around 8:15 and woke up this am about 7am. We change into hsi pjs, go into his room, put soft music on, and read a few books, then we say night night and put him in his crib. Seems to be working for now


My Montage 9/25/07

A fun weekend

We had a fun weekend. It poured on Friday and Saturday so on Friday night we went for a walk around the block in the rain. Kyan loved the umbrella for some reason, loved holding it, loved saying it.

Kyan got his haircut on Saturday. His hair is nice and short and of course cute. We were gonna go to the zoo after his haircut, but because of the rain, we decided against it, it was a good decision.

Saturday morning into the afternoon, it poured some more. So we made each other run to the back gate with Kyan and back. Of course when Brian went with Kyan, I had to video it.

Sunday, we went to the zoo. It was a very nice day out. They had a spider exhibit called Spider City, the biggest spiders i have ever seen. I took some pictures, some are blurry but maybe that is for the best.

Kyan had a blast running around the "mister" at the zoo. He also discovered some high pitched, squeal that he did in Brian's ear and he said his ears were now ringing. So of course I captured that on video too.

Last night, Kyan wanted to paint. I didn't feel like it, so instead, I whipped out markers. Well he loved those. We used the paper from his easel and the other day I bought a book from Ralph's about how to draw I think it is transportation vehicles. You know they type of book, a line here, a circle there, and wahlaaa a motorcycle. So I would try to draw things from there and at one point Brian came out and made a rude comment like , boy that looks really good, well I wasn't finished but when I was, Kyan was quite happy I made a dump truck, SO THERE. Anyways, Brian came out later and said, I thought you were using markers, not war paint. let's just say, luckily I had a dark blue shirt on and you couldn't see all the marker lines on it. Kyan had lines across his face, his hands were all blue and purple from all the colors, I had a dot of something on my temple. It was quite funny actually.

Going to the Natural History Museum

Brian and Kyan are on their way today to the Natural History Museum. Brian wanted to take him there cause he thought he would love to see all the animals. Saturday, we are taking the lil guy to get his 3rd haircut, it is quite long on top, the back is still ok, but the top needs a trim. Don't worry, we will take pictures. Maybe we can talk Dadda into going to the zoo with us after...
