Since I have gotten a few "friendly reminders" to update the blog, FINE, here you go

Let's see, what is going on. 59 days til my due date

I pisked Kyan up from school one day and noticed he had a bite mark on his arm. I asked the teachers about it, they said, they were out playing, one of the girls came up to him and wanted the ball he was playing with, she bit him, and apprently he bit her back. Now I know we don't condone biting, but, it wasn't like he was the aggressor in this instance, not that we are aware of him biting anyone any other time. But he was protecting his turf, so to speak. That evening, we went to Van Nuys Airport to watch the planes take off and land and I asked him about it, I said Kyan, did you get bit today on the arm, who bit you, and what came out of his mouth, "gabby bit me" and when I told brian, when brian got home, brian talked to kyan about it, and kyan then said I bit gabby back. It is just funny, now that he can tell you certain things, and who did what. It was just funny. I scouted Gabby out the next day, and did notice a nice mark on her arm from, hmmmm, I wonder.

We got Kyan some Big Brother books, to start getting him prepared. We pretty much read them everynight and Brian will go over who is that, who is that, So it is Dadda, Kyan, baby and momma. We'll see what happens when the time comes, I am sure it will take time for him(us all) to adjust, but he will be ok.

Kyan is into bugs right now, we go out looking for grasshoppers, butterflies or bugs. Today Brian and him went out, and I guess they saw the rolly bugs, and Kyan liked it and then said "Kyan squish it." Not sure if the bug is still with us, my guess is not.

Oh my aching foot

So the other day, I noticed Kyan had a boo boo on his second toe next to his big toe. Looked like he cut it on something. It was a little scab. Yesterday, we went to go watch planes and he wanted his shoe off, and he sock off, and I guess since his toe was sweating, it wasn't a scab, it was more like a paper cut, with the little piece of skin flapping around. He wants me to cut it off. He doesn't want me to kiss it, he wants to bite it.

Ok so we get home and first thing he wants is to go into the bathroom to cut off his boo boo. I do it,a nd put the smallest bandaide I could find. Well he then proceeds to walk out the bathroom, limping, not putting any pressure on his toes, just his heel. OHHHHHHH PUHLEEEASE!!! Now I know where Kyan gets it. Like the world is ending. He walks like that all the way to the couch. I am just laughing because it was soooo funny. Then he looks at his toe, "where" boo boo", yeah it must really hurt lil guy!!!!!

Another funny thing is, we went to Target the other day, We were crossing the parking lot in front of the store, he puts his hand up like STOP, for the oncoming car. It was wuite funny. Brian said he did this when he went bike riding with him too. it was very funny and cute.

Lotsa stuff going on

We got Kyan's haircut on Saturday. It looks cute. We then went down to Disneyland Hotel to have a character lunch before the UCLA game. Kyan met Mulan and Chip. For Easter, Kyan got a butterfly net so we took that to Starbucks with us on Sunday and luckily on the way home Brian caught our first butterfly. Kyan thought it was quite funny watching Dadda run all over swinging the net back and forth. Sunday night we went for a bike ride and brought the butterfly net again. Little did we know, it also catches grasshoppers which Kyan was very pleased about. So we caught a grasshopper and butterfly in one day, YAHOOOO.

We took naps on Sunday afternoon so I couldnt resist these 2 pictures, I will let you guess which ones...

Sunday night, Kyan couldn't get comfortable to sleep so Brian took him in his room and put him in bed. Brian came out and said "how long before he comes out here?" I said 4 minutes Brian said 3. Well we go check on him, he shut his door, we open it to peek in. You can hear music playing and he was singing, Dolly, Elmo were in the shopping cart, Shamu was in the crib. Then we get the door shut on us. We go back and check on him in a few more minutes and you will see the outcome in 2 of the pictures in the link below. It is quite funny.

Last night, Kyan took a bath while I took a shower. After I did my hair, I ran my fingers through his hair and gave him "product" You will see the outcome of that too. I think it is a good look for him. When he got up this am, it still looked cute

Easter Weekend 3/24/08

Baby Manatee Update

We had our 4D U/S today. It was fun, we got to see Baby Manatee in motion. The nose kinda looks like mine but I don't think quite as much as Kyan's did in his U/S photos.

Stawberry Fields Forever...

We went Strawberry picking on Saturday morning. At first we were a little disappointed because there were lots of strawberries but not too many that looked red and ready for eating. But once we walked around, we actually found lots and it was kinda fun to "hunt" for them. I think we probably ate more there then we paid for, but we had to see if they were good ones we were picking, he he.

Taco Boy

OK so many of you know, Kyan is not really into meat, he will eat chicken nuggets or the meat inside ravioli's or breaded shrimp, that kinda stuff. Well the other night, we had tacos. The boy would not stop eating our tacos, it was sooo funny. And I know he clearly saw the meat, but he kept asking for more tacos. So he ate taco meat, cheese, lettuce and some tomatoes. It was quite funny. I guess that is why all the books say keep trying new foods with them even if they reject it the first time around, at some point they will try it and hopefully like it.

Fun Sunday

Sunday Brian took us on a surprise outing to Van Nuys Airport to eat breakfast and to watch planes take-off and land. Here are a few pictures from it.

Next Sunday we are going strawberry picking unless UCLA loses early in the PAC 10 tourney, then we will go Saturday. We are gonna bring water so we can wash and eat as we go :-) he he
