Shamu and Friends

Monday we went to SeaWorld, it was a lot of fun. Kyan has once again been coughing at night and it makes him throw up, then we need to clean everything. So, the reason I am saying this is Dadda was sleeping in bed since he slept on the couch with Kyan and then we switched at like 3am. So I was trying to get Kyan to eat something in the am, he would tell me, "No I seeing Shamu" the poor boy would not eat cause he was so excited to see shamu. Well I tried to explain to him, once Dadda gets up, we will go see shamu, again, poor kid doesn't realize that shamu is over 2 hours away.

anyways, he loved it, loved shamu, the starfish and the otters. Those were his favorites.

Big news....

We had a BIG BIG weekend. Kyan is now in his big boy bed. And so far it has been a huge success. He pretty much couldn't contain himself as Brian was putting it together, climbing all in it and around it, "helping dadda." He even went and got his hammer and drill and was helping. Finally, after it was all together, Kyan got to play in it. That night I put him to sleep, not sure if it was preggo brain or what, but I let him lay in his bed while I read to him while sitting on the floor. We have always read to him while we sit on the rocking chair and then go to the crib from there. So when he finally laid down, he put his arm around my head and arm and fell asleep, it was totally cute, accept for my back was starting to ache as I was stuck in that position until he was out.

The next night, I got him to sit on the rocking chair with me. We read, and when we were done, I put him in his bed, he was still awake, but I guess he was ready for bed, he laid there and fell asleep.

Last night, he never took a nap yesterday, so about 8:25ish, he came out with his thomas pillow, blanket and a book, I didn't get through the book and he was out by 8:35, so i just put him in bed and he slept through the night again.

He is also into his Dolly right now, for about the past week, he plays with her all the time. Sits her on his desk and gives her a train, puts her on his shoulders, pushes her in the shopping cart. Maybe he is getting ready for being a big brother.

Baby Manatee Update

Yesterday was the first day I think that I really felt the baby move. I felt flutters and little movements all day, so that is exciting. Also, this morning, Brian was able to put his hand on my stomach and feel it move. Of course, he will chalk it up to gas, cause he likes to say that, but I know better :-)

Here are some silly pictures of Kyan from yesterday. Brian was on his way home so we played outside for a few minutes, problem was, everytime Kyan decided to try and kick something, his boot would go flying off. The other pictures were from last night when he wanted to go outside and play on the scooter, so instead, he got his sexy little self ready and played inside. Enjoy OK I didn't like how the site is displaying the pictures, it is cutting off his legs, so I am gonna post them here

Singing

It is very funny. I caught Kyan sining Jingle Bells Jingle Bells Jingle all the way & Happy Birthday, and I think the evil Barney song. He also sings Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and does hand movements. I will have to try and get those on video and post them. It is quite cute. He smirks we he sees me watching him. And if I sign along, he says "No Momma" then when I stop, he said "Again". I think he confused with what he wants
